Prayer Poem #2

The sin that was mine was laid on Him,
and my Saviour's blood washed me white as snow.
Such love is this that He came to die for me.
Such love, what more could I need?

This is love; the Divine dying in my place.
This is love; the Son of God dying for me sins.

How could I hope to understand such amazing grace?
Such unfailing love.
How could I hope to comprehend such sacrifice?
Such total rescue.

Prayer Poem #1

So I've been inspired recently to try writing some prayers in a sort of (in theory) poetic style. This is my first draft of my first attempt. Hopefully this isn't a horrendously pretentious thing to do!

Here goes...

Magnitudes may strike me down.

But I will hold strong to the One whose magnitude is too great for me to comprehend.

Whose might too powerful for me to truly know.

The One whose voice called creation into being and whose love for me sent His perfect Son to die a sinners death in my place.

In Him I put my trust, my life, my soul, my all.

After a very, very long hiatus...

Well, after almost a year and a half of unintentional hiatus from this blog I've decided to kickstart it up again and try to get in the habit of posting regularly and with a little more commitment!

But right now it's kinda late and I should really be asleep so I'll just share this great quote from Mr Louie Giglio...

"But to mean it when I say that I want my life to count for His glory is to drive a stake through the heart of self - a painful and determined dying to me that must be a part of every day I live."
— Louie Giglio
